aRE YOUr patients EXPERIENCING any of these symptoms?

Spider Veins and/or Varicose Veins

Spider Veins and/or Varicose Veins

Spider Veins and/or Varicose Veins

Spider and Varicose veins are damaged veins that appear on the legs due to poor circulation. Spider veins appear as small, red or purple threadlike veins near the surface of the skin. Varicose veins are larger, bulging, "tortuous" and often painful. Both can be signs of underlying venous insufficiency and may worsen over time if left untreaded.

Pain/Aching/Cramping

Spider Veins and/or Varicose Veins

Spider Veins and/or Varicose Veins

Leg pain, aching, and cramping, especially at night. These symptoms are often signs of poor circulation due to venous insufficiency. Don't ignore what your legs are telling you!

Leg Heaviness/Tiredness

Spider Veins and/or Varicose Veins

Leg and/or Ankle Swelling

Heavy, tired legs may be more than just exhaustion. When blood doesn't flow properly, it can cause a constant feeling of fatigue and pressure in the legs, especially towards the end of the day.

Leg and/or Ankle Swelling

Skin Changes and/or Discoloration

Leg and/or Ankle Swelling

Leg and ankle swelling due to venous insufficiency causes fluid to build up in the lower legs. This swelling often worsens throughout the day and may come with discomfort, heaviness, or skin changes.

Skin Changes and/or Discoloration

Skin Changes and/or Discoloration

Skin Changes and/or Discoloration

Skin discoloration, dryness, or thickening around the ankles or lower legs may be a sign of poor blood circulation. Poor circulation can cause blood to pool, leading to inflammation, darkening of the skin, and even risk of ulcers if left untreated.

Burning or Tingling

Skin Changes and/or Discoloration

Skin Changes and/or Discoloration

Burning or tingling sensations in the legs can often be due to poor circulation irritating the surrounding nerves. These symptoms often worsen with prolonged standing and may accompany swelling, heaviness, or visual veins.

Restless Legs

Arterial Ulcers

Restless Legs

Restless legs. especially at night, can be linked to venous insufficiency. When blood pools in the legs due to poor vein function, it can cause discomfort, irritation, and an overwhelming urge to move.

Venous Ulcers

Arterial Ulcers

Restless Legs

Venous ulcers are slow-healing wounds, usually around the ankle. These are caused by poor circulation and chronic venous insufficiency. They often start as skin discoloration or thickening and can become painful, open sores when left untreated. Early vein care is key to ulcer prevention and healing.

Arterial Ulcers

Arterial Ulcers

Arterial Ulcers

Arterial ulcers are painful wounds that develop when poor blood flow prevents proper healing. They often appear on the feet, toes, or lower legs and may look pale, dry, or punched-out in appearance. These ulcers are a sign of underlying arterial disease and require prompt evaluation and treatment to restore circulation, prevent infection, and support healing.

Lymphedema

Lymphedema

Arterial Ulcers

Lymphedema is swelling caused by a buildup of lymph fluid, usually in the legs. It happens when the lymphatic system, which helps drain excess fluid from the tissues and fight infections, isn’t working properly.

Although the lymphatic system is separate from the venous system (the network of veins that returns blood to the heart), the two systems are closely connected and work alongside each other to keep fluid levels balanced in the body. When veins don't return blood back to your heart properly, extra fluid can leak into tissues. This can overload the lymph system and lead to swelling, or secondary lymphedema.
